Cooler Maintenance FAQs
How do we change the bottle?
Changing a cooler bottle is simple but it does require some caution to prevent personal injury. Children, the elderly, anyone who is suffering from any physical injury or has suffered from recurring physical injury (particularly back problems) should not attempt to lift cooler bottles.
Firstly remove the empty bottle from the top of the cooler and set it safely to one side. Secondly to prepare the new bottle peel the label sealing the top and that is all that is required to prepare the bottle before attaching it to the cooler.
When attaching the bottle to the cooler it is advisable to ask one or more colleagues to assist by holding the machine steady or assisting in lifting the bottle. Lift the bottle by bending from the knees, not the back and ensure that you have a strong grip before lifting the bottle. To attach the bottle to the cooler slowly slide the neck of the bottle into the receptacle and gently onto the water spike to pierce the top.
Ensure that the bottle is upright and firmly in position.
How do we clean the cooler?
Our delivery drivers will carry out your regular sanitisation to ensure that you continue to receive pure English water; this will take care of the internal cleaning of the water machine. It is advised though that the exterior of the cooler is cleaned regularly to maintain hygiene levels.
We advise that disposable paper cloths/wipes are used to clean the exterior to ensure that there is no contamination of the tap or cup areas. Never use strong or harsh detergents to clean the cooler. We would advise that you use antibacterial or sanitisation spray or very mild detergent.
What about the drip tray?
Both the standard and executive style models come with removable drip trays. The executive model cooler has a red warning light on the top of the drip tray to alert you when it requires emptying. To remove the drip tray gently pull in towards you and it will slide away from the machine.
Pour the contents of the drip tray away and then clean with antibacterial or sanitisation products or water and very mild detergents.
How do we move our cooler?
It is best to wait until the bottle has empty so this can be easily removed prior to moving. Next unplug the cooler and position the cable so that it will not cause a tripping hazard or get caught under the unit.
Choose the new location of the machine and ensure that the surface is level, that the dispenser will not be in direct sunlight and that there is a power socket nearby.
It is advisable to ask a colleague to assist when moving the cooler. When lifting the cooler, always bend from the knees and not from the spine, our executive coolers have a convenient carry handle. Children, the elderly or anyone with health problems that could be aggravated through heavy lifting should not attempt to lift the cooler unit.
The cooler should remain upright at all times when being manoeuvred and must not be tilted at an angle of more than 45 degrees as this could cause damage to the internal compressor. Position the cooler at least 15cm from the wall to ensure adequate ventilation.
After you have relocated your machine allow it to rest for at least one hour before plugging it in or switching on the power - this allows the internal compressor to stabilise.
It takes around 45 minutes for the cold water to reach temperature and 30 minutes for the hot water to reach temperature.
