Strathmore Spring Water

Strathmore Spring Water comes from the Royal Burgh or Forfar on the east coast of Scotland. The rainwater that falls on the Vale of Strathmore is filtered through sandstone aquifers that are over 400 million years old. The source is a well which has been dug to a depth of 110 feet into the layers of rock. This ensures that the water is of the highest quality and of a constant temperature.

The original well was dug before 1880 and was used in the beer brewing industry for around 20 years before it was exploited by Lambs for the soft drinks market. However, Strathmore Spring Water, as we know it, was not formed until the 1960s and the new source was tapped in 1963 only 25 metres from the original source.
